From our breeding facility in Laillé, near Rennes in Brittany, France to your home, every order is carefully prepared, with packaging adapted to the species being shipped.
We ship freshwater fish, aquarium shrimp, dwarf crayfish and other invertebrates throughout France and to a number of international destinations.
Choose your delivery date
When placing your order through our online shop, you can choose your preferred delivery date, excluding weekends and public holidays.
This allows you to select a day when you will be available to receive your parcel as soon as it arrives.
Prompt receipt of your parcel helps to minimise the time the animals spend in their transport packaging and allows you to begin acclimatisation under the best possible conditions.
Packaging designed for the transport of live animals
Every shipment is prepared with particular care at our breeding facility.
Our fish, shrimp and other aquatic animals are carefully packed in bags specifically designed for the transport of live animals. The bags are filled with oxygen to maintain suitable conditions throughout the journey.
Preparation and packaging are adapted to the specific requirements of the different species being shipped.
The bags are then placed inside insulated boxes designed to protect the animals from temperature fluctuations and external conditions during transport.
Protection adapted to the season
We also take into account the temperatures and weather conditions expected at the time of dispatch.
Packaging and thermal protection are adapted when necessary to provide the animals with the best possible protection during transport.

When your order arrives
We recommend that you are present for the delivery and receive your parcel as soon as it arrives.
Before opening the transport bags, check the condition of the animals.
If you find that a fish, shrimp or other animal has died during transport, do not open the bag concerned. Immediately take a photograph clearly showing the animal inside its still-sealed transport bag.
Once you have completed this check, begin acclimatising the live animals without delay.
Our live arrival guarantee
Despite all the precautions taken during preparation and transport, an animal may exceptionally not arrive alive at its destination.
In this case, NéoTropic will provide compensation in the form of a credit voucher corresponding to the purchase price of the animal or animals concerned.
To benefit from our live arrival guarantee, contact us within 24 hours of delivery and provide a photograph of the animal or animals concerned still inside their sealed transport bag.
The photograph must be taken before the bag is opened and must clearly show the animal inside the sealed bag.
This procedure allows us to verify the condition of the shipment upon arrival and process your request quickly.
Waste management and reuse of our packaging
NéoTropic is committed to reducing waste associated with its shipments. We contribute to Citeo, an approved French eco-organisation operating within the packaging recycling and recovery system.
We also encourage the reuse of our polystyrene transport boxes.
You can return clean NéoTropic boxes in good condition directly to our shop in Laillé.
For each reusable box returned, you will receive a €5 credit voucher towards your next order.
